Common questions
- Is it safe to withdraw from your exchange right now?
Yes. A regulated exchange is legally required to maintain orderly access to user funds. You can withdraw your assets normally. The July 1 deadline means the exchange stops offering trading services to EU users — it does not mean funds disappear.
- Do I need a hardware wallet, or will a software wallet do?
For small amounts, a software wallet is acceptable. For any significant holdings, a hardware wallet is strongly recommended. Software wallets store your private keys on an internet-connected device, which exposes them to malware and phishing attacks.
- What's the difference between NGRAVE ZERO and other hardware wallets?
NGRAVE ZERO is the only wallet with EAL7 certification — the highest security rating ever awarded to a financial product. It's also fully air-gapped, meaning it has no USB, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi connection. Most other leading hardware wallets are rated EAL6+ at best and require a physical cable or wireless connection to sign transactions.
- What is NGRAVE GRAPHENE and do I need it?
GRAPHENE is a stainless steel backup for your private key. Unlike a paper seed phrase (which can burn, flood, or degrade), GRAPHENE is fireproof, waterproof, and cryptographically split so that neither half reveals your key alone. It's strongly recommended for anyone holding meaningful assets long-term.
- Can I still trade crypto if I use a hardware wallet?
Yes. Your hardware wallet stores your assets. You can still connect to exchanges for trading — the difference is that your assets sit in your own wallet between trades, not on the exchange. The NGRAVE LIQUID app also supports swapping directly.
